It’s always a treat to return home to the Welsh hills to capture someone’s special day. But this wedding in particular was rather special, and right in my heartland. Here’s the story of Charliy and Lee’s big day…
Charliy and her girls spent the morning getting ready at one of the beautiful Cawdor Arms’ Cottages in Llandeilo, Carmarthenshire.
There was much laughter, pink bubbles and fun as the bridal party in their matching pink kimonos got ready for the wedding.
There was plenty of time to capture tender moments between the group whilst they had their hair and makeup done….
Not forgetting the gorgeous flower girls!
The beautiful bride Charliy wore a Louise Bentley dress from a bridal shop in the village, that showed off her hourglass figure perfectly. And she teamed it with sparkly Carvela pointed heels.
Once the veil was securely in place, it was almost time to head to the chapel for the ceremony!
I had the pleasure of working with John Mark Films at this wedding. He added a special kind of magic to the day which was just splendid! Including stopping the traffic on the High Street so that Charliy and her bridal party could walk to the chapel.
All the locals came out to watch as this local lass headed to her wedding. Including the team from Huw Rees, the bridal shop from which Charliy’s dress came from! You can’t beat this local, village love…
The ceremony was intimate, fun and relaxed and looked just lovely with natural light pouring in from the Cawdors’ old chapel windows…
Then it was time to make the marriage official…
Congrats Charliy and Lee! Now for the fun bit. The next part of this incredible day was definitely my favourite! I jumped into the passenger seat of an old school land rover, and off we went… driven by Charliy’s Step Father!
Our destination? One of Wales’s oldest castles, Castell Dinefwr. What an incredible location for a shoot!
The groom Lee’s very dapper tweed suit was from Dyfed Menswear and suited him perfectly.
Once photos had been snapped and moments captured, we all travelled to the wedding reception venue, Caerhyn Farm. A gorgeous real farm just outside Llangadog, on the way to the Black Mountains.
A huge thank you to Charliy and Lee for sharing your special wedding day with me. I hope your marriage is as full of love, fun and laughter as your wedding was!
